The festival will raise awareness of the Alternatiba project, an initiative which allows citizens from all over the world to share their unique ways of promoting the fight against climate change and energy transition. The event is billed as both a celebration and a way to mobilise people, and the city expects to welcome over 10,000 individuals for the festival. Attendees will have the chance to learn about sustainable alternatives such as community allotments, eco-construction, ethical banking, local currency, energy transition plans, energy cooperatives, etc.
